3D Geological Modelling
Epic uses state of the art Petrel modeling software to construct 3D geological models for its clients. Epic staff coordinate with clients to incorporate the geoscientific information necessary to accurately reflect the geology present in the reservoir under study - log and core data, structure maps, conceptual geologic environment models, seismic attribute and interpretation data, interpretations from production logs and tests, etc.
Our staff have experience in complex structural gridding, together with complex facies and petrophysical modeling. We will utilise stochastic, deterministic and hybrid models as appropriate to meet our geoscience goal - the creation of realistic, robust geological models for input to simulation and field development planning studies, incorporating reservoir heterogeneity from the mega to the micro-scale.
We place a strong focus on iteration between the static geological and dynamic reservoir simulation models to rapidly achieve dependable and geologically reasonable results.
Epic can also use the completed model to carry out an assessment of the volumetric uncertainty associated with the reservoir.
